Delta Works in The Netherlands

In The Netherlands a large area needs to be protected from the sea. Thats why they invented the Delta Works. This is a series of dams, dykes, sluices and storm surge barriers. The Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier is the largest dam of the Delta Works. It’s nine kilometers long. There’s a road over the dam and you can also go inside the surge barrier. These two wallpapers give an impression of the Delta Works.
